This season, the SAF Warriors clinched the S-league championship and League Cup to complete a magnificent 'DOUBLE'! Just last Wednesday (29/10/97),
the Warriors beat Tampines Rovers to march into the final of the Singapore Pools FA Cup, where they will face Woodlands Wellington. Can they win their third silverware this year?

The Warriors have signed 5 Croatians since the S-League was started in 1996. they are Ivica Raguz, Eres Jure, Davor Mioc, Goran Grubesic and Velimir Crljen. Eres was the league's top scorer with 29 goals in season '96! Local stars include the national captain Fandi, this year's S-league Player Of The Year Nazri Nasir and national goal keeper Rezal Hassan.
